Setting up your daily work location
Setting up your Work Location and Work Hours in Teams and Outlook
Setting up your daily work location (In-Office vs. Remote) in the traditional Outlook for Windows is handled via your calendar options.
- Open Outlook and click on your Calendar icon at the bottom-left of the screen.
- Go to File in the top-left corner, then click on Options near the bottom.
- Select the Calendar tab on the left-side menu.
- Under the Work time section, click Work hours and location....
- Set your plan: Use the checkboxes to pick the days you want to set. For each day, use the dropdown menus to select your times and your location (e.g., Office or Remote).
- Check Show work location on my calendar and under Share your location, ensure your permissions are set so others can see it.
- Click OK to close the window, and OK again to save your changes.
Because Classic Outlook applies your base work hours and location to every week automatically, you can make daily exceptions or specify exactly which building you are working from by using the web app. You can log into your account on Outlook on the web to toggle specific days or buildings more quickly
